Name Me

Name Me

UPDATE: I didn’t pick a winner for this comp. Sorry guys but that right fit name just hasn’t appeared. I am going to pull the competition for now, but never fear, I’ll keep the prize tucked away for another competition. Thank you to all that made an effort to enter xx

Exciting news guys!

Whimsyland has been accepted into the The Salamanca Market Innovator Program! WHAT? WAHOO!

I know right, what an opportunity. I am going a bit nuts over it.

You all know I have a love for fungi, right? Can’t really be making a bazillionty mushrooms and not. Well, I have been making some blue mycena inspired pieces here and there over the past year with ideas to do other things and with the Innovator Program and Salamanca being the tourist heart that it is, I thought I better get my butt into gear and actually make the things that I have been daydreaming about.

Inspired by killer photography from the talented folk over at The Tasmanian Fungi facebook page and our own backyard, the Tasmanian wilderness – our flora and fauna is actually the greatest. I have come up with a new range of fairy special things for you!

This collection needs a name though.  It needs to invoke thoughts/feelings of our wonderful wild island and the fae and the magical – So far I have The Native Collection (Ugh so boring. Naming things is not my forte) So let’s run a comp to see what you magical beings can come up with.

Enter as many times as you like, comment on the relevant facebook, instagram posts or on this blog with your suggestion, if there are repeat suggestions from different people then the original commenter will be the winner, if it’s theirs I choose of course. I will announce and choose the winner Friday 29th March. If there are no names I like, I reserve the right to not announce a winner and pull the competition, but oh man. It cannot be The Native Collection, Help!

Winner will receive a brand new designed Forest Log featuring the Blue Mycena and a platypus, tis my favourite.

Give it a go! You’ve got nothing to lose!

Whimsyland’s first trading day at Salamanca is 30th March and I will be at Stall 184 if ya wanna come and see me there!

Happy Fairy Gardening,

Love Lauren xx
